REPURPOSE

WAYS TO REUSE YOUR VESSEL

BURN CANDLE | PLANT PAPER | GROW BASIL

1. Prepare your vessel: fill your vessel 2/3 full with good potting soil. Tamp down the soil and add more if necessary. You want the vessel to be firmly full, but not packed.

2. Plant the paper: place your plantable paper in the vessel and spread a 1/8 inch layer of soil over the plantable paper and tamp down gently on top.

3. Water during germination: after planting the paper in your vessel, give it a good soak. You want the paper and the soil to be nicely damp but not swimming in water. During the first 10 days, keep the paper moist at all times. The water is necessary for germination.

4. Care after germination: once sprouts appear, continue to keep the paper moist but be careful not to overwater. Once sturdy basil appears, water as needed. Note: The seed paper can also be planted outside if desired.

REPURPOSE

La Flamme Verte Candle Co candles are hand-poured into matte glass vessels. Once you're done burning your candles, our hope is that you reuse your vessels to plant your seed paper dust cover and grow basil cover or you can use as planters for succulents or any plant or herb.

If you don't have a green thumb but you would still like to reuse your candle, you can also use your vessel as a holder for your toothbrushes, dish brushes, makeup brushes, pen/pencils, keys, art supplies and the list goes on! We hope you will find a new use for your candle after you've enjoyed burning it. Share your repurposed vessels and tag us @laflammevertecandleco.

We use 100% soy wax, so they are very easy to clean out (unlike paraffin candles). Wait for wax to cool and re-solidify after last burn (when you have about 1/4" left). Using a spoon or butter knife, gently lift and scoop the wax (soy is soft and easy to remove). Metal wick tabs may be dislodged by lifting with a utensil as well. Wash remaining wax residue with hot  soapy water.

RECYCLE

As much as possible, our packaging materials are 100% biodegradable and we encourage you to reuse them or recycle them.
